In what types of applications are CORREVIT® Optical Sensors utilized?

CORREVIT® Optical Sensors are used in a wide range of automotive, tire, military, and racing applications. Vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 Suppliers worldwide use CORREVIT® Optical Sensors to measure a wide range of dynamic performance variables. For a more compete overview of our vehicle testing capabilities, please click here.

CORREVIT® Optical Sensors are also successfully used in industrial monitoring and control, as well as in rail vehicle measurement. For more information about these applications, please visit the CORRSYS 3D web site.

Does the sensor need to be activated after powering on?

No. CORREVIT® Optical Sensors are ready to output measurement signals as soon as they are fully connected and powered-on.

What types of output signals are available from CORREVIT® Optical Sensors?

RS232, CAN, digital, analog are available. Please reference your Sensor user manual for complete detail.

Does the test surface influence measurement accuracy?

No. CORREVIT® Optical Sensors from CORRSYS-DATRON are widely considered to represent the standard for accuracy in speed, distance and angle measurement for vehicle dynamics measurement. With the addition of new, advanced DSP (digital signal processing) and FPGA (field-programmable gate array) technology, CORREVIT® Optical Sensors offer even greater accuracy. Variations in surface and environmental conditions have only very negligible influence on measurement accuracy and reproducibility. Complete mounting information is provided in the Sensor user manuals. Please reference the user manual for your CORREVIT® Optical Sensor.

Where can I obtain pin-out information for my CORREVIT® Optical Sensors?

Pin-out information is provided in the Sensor user manuals. Please reference the user manual for your CORREVIT® Optical Sensor.

Do CORREVIT® Optical Sensors maintain accuracy and linearity throughout their full operating range?

Yes. CORREVIT® Optical Sensor technology assures nominal accuracy and linearity throughout the full Sensor operating range. Dynamic movements, such as changes in vehicle pitch and/or roll have no effect on linearity or accuracy. The CORREVIT® precision optical grating system allows for compensation of these effects.
